    What Are Productivity Frameworks?

A productivity framework is a repeatable system for deciding what to work on and when. The best-known frameworks — Getting Things Done (GTD), the Eisenhower Matrix, PARA, and Deep Work — each solve a different problem: GTD offloads your mental backlog, Eisenhower forces prioritization, PARA organizes information, and Deep Work protects focus. Pick the one that matches the problem you actually have.

Frameworks are different "lenses" for viewing your tasks. Same tasks, different worldview.

Think of it like this: Your tasks don't change – just how they're organized and displayed. A task like "Finish presentation" might appear in "Next Actions" in GTD, "Important/Urgent" in Eisenhower, or "Projects" in PARA.

Why bother? Different frameworks click with different brains. Some people love GTD's capture-everything approach. Others prefer Eisenhower's urgency focus. Try a few to find your match.
