Most overwhelm isn't from lazy planning — it's from optimistic planning. The Capacity Meter kills the optimism early.
How it works
- Add an estimate (in minutes) to any task on the detail panel
- The Today view sums every estimate and displays *X hrs planned / 8 hrs available*
- The bar shades:
- Green ≤ 6h — realistic
- Amber 6–8h — full day, no buffer
- Red > 8h — you'll miss things
When red, LemTask suggests:
- Which tasks to snooze (lowest priority first)
- Which to delegate (if teammates are available)
- Which to break into subtasks so they fit
Bonus: end-of-day, the meter shows *estimated vs actual*. Over time you learn your personal *fudge factor* — most people underestimate by 40%. Knowing yours is a superpower.
