Best for
Small businesses needing PM with integrated quoting, invoicing, and expense management.
Avaza attempts to be the single platform for small business operations, combining project management, timesheets, expense tracking, quoting, and invoicing. The vision is compelling: manage a project from initial quote through delivery to final invoice without leaving one tool.
The quote-to-invoice workflow is Avaza's strongest selling point. You create a quote for a client, convert it to a project when approved, track time and expenses against it, and generate an invoice from the tracked data. This eliminates double-entry and ensures billing accuracy — a real problem for small businesses.
Project management includes task lists, kanban boards, and a basic Gantt-style timeline. Tasks support assignments, due dates, and time estimates. The PM features are adequate for managing client work, though they lack the depth of dedicated tools like Asana or Monday.com. You won't find automations, custom fields, or advanced views.
Expense management is a useful addition. Team members can log expenses against projects, attach receipts, and categorize costs. This flows into invoicing, so you can bill clients for both time and expenses from the same platform. The invoicing module supports online payment processing via Stripe or PayPal.
The interface is clean but not particularly modern. It's functional and gets the job done without getting in the way, but it won't win design awards. The pricing model is tiered by features rather than per-user on the base plans, which keeps costs predictable for growing teams.
Avaza makes most sense for small businesses (2-15 people) that need project management with integrated billing. If PM depth is your priority, dedicated tools are better. If invoicing depth matters, QuickBooks or FreshBooks are more capable. But if you want one tool that handles both acceptably, Avaza fills that niche. For personal productivity, LemTask offers an entirely different, individual-focused experience.
