    Automate LemTask With Zapier, Make or n8n via the API

    LemTask does not have official Zapier or Make apps, but its public REST API lets you build any integration in either platform using the generic *Webhooks* or *HTTP Request* modules. Generate an API key in Settings, then POST to /tasks to create, PATCH to update, and subscribe to outgoing webhooks for triggers.

    Step 1 — Get your API key and base URL

    Settings → Quick Capture Methods → API key (extension + developer API). Copy the 16-character key and the API base URL shown underneath it. Treat the key like a password. API access needs Pro or Teams.

    Step 2 — In Zapier / Make / n8n

    Use the Webhooks by Zapier (or HTTP Request in Make/n8n) module.

    Create a task

    ```
    POST <your API base URL>
    X-API-Key: YOUR_KEY
    Content-Type: application/json
    { "title": "Follow up with {{lead_name}}", "priority": 2, "due_date": "2026-10-01" }
    ```

    Full request reference, including reading, updating and deleting tasks: /api.

    Trigger from LemTask events

    Settings → Integrations → Outgoing Webhooks → add a URL. Choose events: *task.created*, *task.completed*, *habit.streak_broken*, etc.

    Limits: reads return up to 200 tasks per request. There is no published per-minute quota, but heavy polling may be throttled — batch where you can.
