Tasks & Lists

    Tags: Cross-List Superpowers

Tags let you group tasks across every list, so a single #followup or @waiting query surfaces everything relevant regardless of which project it lives in. LemTask also auto-tags tasks based on keywords in the title, so you rarely have to tag manually.

Lists are containers. Tags are dimensions. Use both.

Add a tag — type `#followup` or `@waiting` anywhere in a task title, or click the tag icon on the task card. Tags autocomplete from your existing set.

Filter by tag — click any tag chip in the sidebar or type `tag:followup` in universal search. Works across every list, folder and shared workspace at once.

Auto-tagging — titles containing words like *email, call, review, blocked, waiting* get tagged automatically. Turn it off in Settings → Tags if you'd rather curate manually.

Pro tip: tag by *context* (@home, @office, @errands), not by *project*. Projects are what lists are for.
