The daily standup was designed for co-located teams. For distributed teams it's a tax.
The async format
Each person posts three lines by 10am local time into a shared LemTask *Standup* list:
- Yesterday — what shipped
- Today — top 1–3 priorities
- Blocked — what you need from whom
Set up in LemTask
- Create a Standup list, share with the team
- Create a recurring daily task for each member titled *Post standup* with a 9:30am reminder
- Add a #blocked tag rule — anything tagged blocked pings the whole team
