You can let Claude see and change your to-do list. Once it is set up, you type "what's due today" or "add buy a gift for Sam to my list" in the chat, and it happens in your real task app. Nothing else about your task app changes.
What you are actually setting up
A small connector sits between Claude and your task app. Claude never gets your password. It gets a key that you create and can delete at any moment, and it can only do what that key allows. If you change your mind, you delete the key and the connection is over.
Which task apps work right now
Todoist has the smoothest path, because Todoist built and documented the connection itself. Notion is the same. For Trello, Asana, ClickUp, monday.com, TickTick and Microsoft To Do you use a connector somebody in the community built, which works but needs a little more patience. For Apple Reminders and Things 3, the connection runs on your own Mac.
What it is genuinely good at
Two things. Capturing — you are mid-conversation, you mention something you need to do, and it lands on your list without you switching apps. And answering — "what did I not finish this week" is a question, not a filter you have to build.
What to be careful about
Two rules. Let it read before you let it write, so you can see what it understands before it changes anything. And be wary of asking it to reschedule a lot at once — it will do exactly what you asked, and you can end up with a tomorrow that nobody could actually finish.
What LemTask can do today
LemTask does not have one of these connections yet, and we are not going to claim otherwise. What it does have is webhooks, Zapier, Make and Apple Shortcuts, which already cover "when a task is created, do this" and "create a task from something else". When the Claude connection is ready and tested, this page will say so.
