    Brain dump

    • Everything else lives here until it earns an anchor slot

Most planners sold to adults with ADHD are paper products with 40 boxes a day. They assume the problem is a lack of space to write things down. It isn't. The problem is that an adult ADHD week has too many competing obligations — work, admin, family, health — and no built-in mechanism for deciding which ones get today. This free ADHD planner for adults is deliberately narrow: each day gets three anchors, the week gets one admin block, and everything else lives in a brain dump until it earns a slot.

Why an adult ADHD planner has to be different

Adult ADHD isn't a scheduling problem, it's a prioritisation and initiation problem. Two things follow from that.

First, fewer slots beat more slots. If a day has three lines, you have to choose, and choosing is the work. If it has twenty, you'll fill them, feel productive for ten minutes, and finish the day having done the four easy ones. Our ADHD task planner applies the same principle to a single day; this one covers the whole week.

Second, admin has to be batched, not sprinkled. Renewals, forms, emails, calls to the doctor — each one is small, and each one is a separate initiation cost. Sprinkled across the week they eat every morning. Batched into one named block, they cost you 90 minutes once.

    How the planner is structured

Using it without abandoning it in nine days

The classic ADHD planner failure is perfect for a week, then untouched. Two habits prevent it. Review on one fixed day — our Sunday reset checklist is the ritual most people pair with this. And never carry more than three items forward; if something has moved four weeks in a row, it isn't a task, it's a decision you haven't made.

    When paper isn't enough

A printable planner has no reminders and no way to nudge you at the moment you'd otherwise drift. If you keep filling this in and then losing the thread mid-week, that's the point to move it into something that can prompt you — LemTask keeps the same three-anchor structure and adds reminders, streaks, and a running brain dump you can capture into from your phone. The planner stays free either way.

    Mode d'emploi

    1. 1

      Name this week's three

Write the three outcomes that would make the week good. If you can't pick three, pick one — the rest is noise.

    2. 2

      Give each day three anchors

For each anchor, write the time you'll start it. A task without a start time is a wish.

    3. 3

      Pick your admin day

Choose one day, list every small obligation under Admin batch, and do them in a single sitting.

    4. 4

      Dump the rest

Everything else goes in the brain dump. It stays there until a day has a free anchor slot for it.

    5. 5

      Reset once a week

Same day each week, clear what's done and re-pick your three. Never carry an item forward more than three times.
