A life audit is what you do when you feel vaguely stuck and can't tell why. You sit down, rate eight or nine areas of your life on a 1–10 scale, and the bad scores tell you where to focus. It sounds reductive. It works because most people are too generous with the areas that are quietly draining them and too harsh on the areas that are actually fine.

Why this worksheet beats a journaling session

Open-ended journaling is great for processing — bad for prioritising. When everything feels heavy, you'll write 1,500 words and finish unsure what to *do*. A life audit forces a number on every area, and the lowest two or three numbers are your real answer. From there you pick one — not three, one — and the next quarter has a focus.

    How it's structured

Nine categories, each with a short prompt list:

Tick the prompts that *currently feel true* in each section. The fewer ticks, the lower the area scores. Areas with the fewest ticks become your candidates for change.

What to do with the results

Pick one area. One. Most people fail at audits because they pick five and finish zero. For the one area you pick, set a single measurable change for the next 90 days — paired with weekly check-ins. The ADHD task planner makes a clean home for that weekly check-in; the Sunday reset checklist can carry the recurring action.

    When to re-run it

Quarterly is enough. More often and you're auditing instead of doing. Less often and you'll drift back into vague stuck-ness without noticing why.

    How to use it

    1. 1

      Be honest about each prompt

Tick the prompts that genuinely feel true right now. Aspirational ticks defeat the purpose.

    2. 2

      Spot the lowest-tick areas

Two or three sections will obviously score lower than the rest. Those are your candidates.

    3. 3

      Pick one — not three

Choose the single area whose improvement would most lift the others. Sleep, money, and relationships usually win that test.

    4. 4

      Set one 90-day change

One measurable change, weekly check-ins. Re-audit at the end of the quarter.
